Hal, a Barry Allen letter was published yesterday in the Pasadena
Weekly in response to the article they ran three weeks ago titled Fire
Starter. The only problem is that since he apparently wrote
this piece, the Glendale
Fire Department has decided to rescind their policy that allows jogging in
remote parks and other out of district locations because they have determined
it is, in fact, causing excessive delays in time-critical emergency responses. This
is a win for the public at large because it eliminates response times that
were typically twice the average and often up to 8 and 10 minutes in
length. Now they will be responding in their average response time sequence of
4 minutes. This will save lives. Bruce
