To: All Glendale City Council Candidates in the April 3, 2007 Election

   For the City Council candidates I have a few questions regarding the City's
finances that I ask them to respond to before the day of the election.

   On the weekend of August 31, 2002 the News Press ran a story telling us that
the City had 208 salaried employees each one pulling down over $100,000 in total
annual pay including benefits. My questions are:
     
1. When these employees retire in the not too distant future will their retire-
   ment pay be commensurate with their active duty pay?

2. Has the Council taken steps to assure these employees that funds to cover
   their pay will be available when they retire?
