08-04-09, Freedom of Speech in Glendale California

Tuesday afternoon, August 4, 2009, was a sad day for freedom of speech in Glendale California.  City Councilmen Ara Najarian and John Drayman walked out of the city council meeting, prematurely closing same due to “lack of a quorum”.  This occurred when Chief Assistant City Attorney Michael Garcia, responding to councilmember Najarian’s claim of a Point of Order during a talk by Mike Mohill, declared that Mohill was within his First Amendment Right in his oral communications comments.

So much for the First Amendment of the United States in Glendale California!
