07-31-10, Carl Atkinson’s Comments to Barry Allen Regarding Remarks by Mayor Najarian and John Drayman

Barry, I would like to comment on the July 27, 2010, Council meeting.  I am again concerned that Mayor Najarian has taken valuable time from the public to express his personal concern for the value of the "news" you and your associates (specifically Herbert Molano) bring to the public.  I would like to go on record as saying that I listen to Rush Limbaugh as often as possible and watch Bill O'Reilly on TV then listen to KPFK simply to refresh my memory as to what it really is I don't like about liberals.

This means that I would not want to base any opinions on only the news approved by the party in power.  I sincerely believe Vanguard offers the reader information to be considered when making opinions and decisions about Glendale and the way it is run.  I would like to think the comments by members of the City Council on Tuesday the 27th of July, 2010 would be scrutinized then submitted to a court of appropriate jurisdiction for consideration of libel.  Their accusations of inaccurate information and lies must be addressed.  If they have evidence to support this position it would be to your advantage to take responsibility for those errors.  If not make them responsible.  They should not be allowed to make such outrageous accusations.
