Barry is dead right on the violation. Drayman is a decent and intelligent man but threatening him with legal action "including attorney fees" will only piss him off.
Use your influence to have him pursue an editorial position that appeals to Drayman's sense of fairness and thereby win the point . The city gets sued every month and Barry's tactic is juvenile.
