Reply by Barry Allen to Glendale Resident’s 06-27-08 Opinion Regarding Allen’s Brown Act Violation Letter

Editorial positions do not bring results. Editorializing does not give these people a chance to speak. Editorializing does not unring the bell. As to attorney fees and costs…that is what it takes to get the attention of the City Government that resists openness and transparency. The people on Gladys filed a claim and it was denied. They lost their equity due to the City’s negligence. Should they have just written a letter and said, “whatever?” I encourage your writer to review the Cure and Correct letter with Mayor Drayman’s response which was probably not authorized by the City Attorney. City Attorney’s like any attorney gives an opinion that will be in his client’s favor. If the opinion was accurate 100% of the time, Glendale would have saved millions in legal fees, settlements and judgments. BA
