02-15-09, Barry Allen’s Comments in the 02-15-09 Vanguard Weekly News on Free Speech

City Council Member Najarian has not been happy with the Commentaries by Mr. Molano and has requested that Vanguard muzzle him. This publication believes in and supports the 1st Amendment and reminds CCM Najarian that, as he is a public figure, he falls under the shining spotlight of an inquisitive press. Unlike the Glendale News-Press, Vanguard gets no revenue from the City of Glendale. Our editorial advisory committee provides their comments regarding each issue. Apparently they are comfortable with the weekly content as are thousands of readers. CCM Najarian is an attorney by trade and as an Officer of the Court he takes an oath to support our Constitutions. Yet when it came time to allow Vanguard and other media to be present in City Hall he did not take a stand in support of the 1st Amendment. CCM Quintero did.
