01-13-09, Sue Sarkis’ Opinion on the Interim Ordinance Regarding the Installation of Wireless Facilities

The City Council might desire to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the City of Glendale and its residents as stated in their recent moratorium, but what, pray tell, does that have to do with the installation of needed cell towers?  The cell towers, on the other hand, truly improve the quality of life of the City of Glendale citizenry.  How does the milquetoast, politically correct, City Council believe that the Glendale General Plan regarding aesthetics has anything to do with our health, safety and welfare in this regard?  Please get real and grow up.

This City has become a disgusting place to live and no wonder the majority of my longtime friends who lived in Glendale most, if not all, of their lives have moved away.  Some people complain because they like to hear themselves talk and it is usually the same people year after year after year.  I say enough is enough is enough and hope that someday they will see themselves for what they truly are.
